"Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."
Psalm 119:11

This page has lists of Bible verses by topic.
Please use them! They are life.
Read, print, study, pray through, memorize, and share them as you desire.

No More Anxiety

I've never seen so many people plagued by anxiety as I have the past 5 years. We were not designed for this, and the Word of God gives freedom. Praying through these Scriptures  provides the best, most effective, long-lasting freedom I've experienced from anxiety.

Healing

If you need healing, here is the Great Physician's prescription for you: read these verses out loud over your body daily until all symptoms are gone. Then, continue speaking them on a regular basis to keep your healing and keep the enemy away.

The Kingdom of Heaven, our Citizenship in Heaven, and the LORD our King: Right NOW

This is an excellent list of verses about God being our King and us being citizens of His Country, the kingdom of heaven. We not only look forward to  eternal life in heaven one day, but we also are to live IN IT right now.
Are you?

Comfort

It's so easy to run to things or people, other than Jesus, for comfort. Print these to remind yourself that our heavenly Father is indeed the God of all comfort.

God's Names

You are one person with many names. Some of your titles may be: mom, wife, sister, friend, daughter, cousin, aunt, CEO, niece, director, fiancee, teacher, assistant, manager, waitress, clerk, customer service rep. Likewise, simply stated, there is One True God, and He is I AM. He is...fill in the blank. What do you need? He is all that. And more.

God's Will

There are many ways to discern God's will: pray, get godly counsel and input, fast, consider circumstances, and weigh benefits v. risks. These are important approaches, but by far the most critical is to search God's Word. He has spoken! Listen. Wait. Obey.

Sleep in Peace

These Scriptures have helped many through countless nights, replacing sleeplessness with peaceful slumbering.

The spirit of ...Fear?

Fear seems to be the most prevalent stronghold for all mankind. As we were born into sin, we were born into fear. Did you know that fear is a spirit? Yup. And Jesus gives us all authority (by His blood, in His name, and with His Word) to refuse it and cast it away. Use these verses to do just that and walk in victory.

God is Able

Beloved one, may I be direct with you? Don't underestimate the Lord. He is the Mighty One, and He will save. He keeps His Word. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20-21) By the time you're done with these verses, you'll surely be done with any doubt.

Who Am I?

Because of Jesus, we have purpose and value. We are accepted and secure. We know where we came from, why we're here and where we're going. Our identity is great!

Contentment vs. Covetousness

Coveting eats away at everything good, leaving its prey full of anger, resentment, and bitterness. Contentment is a much better way to go.

When I Don't Feel Stable

It doesn't take much to get overwhelmed nowadays, does it? It's time to make some trades with Jesus: He gives us a sound mind for fear, sanity for chaos, and a secure place to stand in the midst of mental and emotional earthquakes. "From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:2

For What Do I Thirst?

The Lord created us to be thirsty-- both physically and spiritually. Every day, we satisfy that thirst. How are you satisfying your spiritual thirst? We can be passive and let the world, the flesh, and the devil attempt to satisfy us, or we can intentionally choose to seek fulfillment from the One who created us; either way, the thirst will be served. Which one will you seek?

Jesus: the Best Man Ever

Jesus is God. He came to dwell among us, humbling Himself in the form of man. He is both 100% God and 100% man. He's awesome! And guess what-- he's the best man you can ever find. I spent many years single with Jesus, and these truths fueled me. Check them out.

Pride is Ugly

"God beautifies the humble with salvation." Psalm 149:4 First of all, how cool is that verb, beautify? I think that's one of my favorite words. Well, if pride is the opposite of humility, then pride must be ugly, right?

No Wining

After years of wrestling through the question of alcohol in my own life, I decided to abstain until the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Here are the verses that have helped me stay strong in this resolve.

That Rottin' Envy

Did you know that envy is rottenness to the bones? (Proverbs 14:30) Yikes. The good news is found in the other half of that verse: A sound heart is life to the body. We were not designed to live with envy, and the solution is a sound heart.  What does that look like?

Brave & Bold

Get courageous and strong as Jesus emboldens you through these truths.

Say No to Lazy

My favorite verses in this list are the ones about the ants. What a wonderful picture and a fitting example for all of us.

Rewards Forever

Let's face it: it can be tempting to slack off and give in to apathy. Why bother going out of our way to serve someone or show love, especially when the recipient of our gift or talent is unappreciative? Let me show you why: check out these genuine, lasting rewards set aside for YOU to have forever.

Diligence

Discover interesting correlations between diligence and a) idolatry, b) wisdom, c) laziness, and d) teaching children God's Word. Then, as you fill your soul with these truths, watch yourself be transformed more into the likeness of Christ.

Crush Lust to Dust

Lust has ruined countless men and women since the fall of humanity in the Garden of Eden. But thanks be to God, who has given us His Son, Jesus Christ! By His death and resurrection, we have all we need to be victorious over this insidious sin.  Let's dismantle it before it has its way of destruction in our lives.

Children

These verses shed light on the topic of children, in relation to motherhood.

Scripture Memory Tools

I'm the first to admit I'm not a professional singer or music composer, but as I've worked with many children to assist Scripture memory, songs have just 'come to me.' Because they've helped others-- from children to adults alike-- hide God's word in their hearts, I've recorded and posted some of them here. Hopefully they'll help one more person be built up in the truth of the Lord.

Genesis 1:1-27 Song
without Hand Motions

Here is a song for the Creation account.

I've broken it into two parts:
PART 1 is Verses 1-15, and
PART 2 is Verses 16-27.

There are also two formats:
without hand motions (here) and
with hand motions (in the section below).

Want More Genesis 1? Here's the Song with Hand Motions

Many people memorize verses better with both music and hand motions. Here are the same songs for Genesis 1:1-27, with hand motions added.

Part 1 is the YouTube link with the picture, and Part 2 is via the tab beneath.

Psalm 91

Psalm 91 was one of the first full Psalms I memorized a couple decades ago. The night Zachariah was born, God sent a woman to the hospital who prayed it over him. I've since prayed it over Zach weekly, with a song that developed over time. Powerful words from God!

3 John 1:2

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things, and be in health, just as your soul prospers." NKJV - a great word to speak and sing over yourself daily.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
Isaiah 61:1-3
